Norfolk Terrier

Norfolk TerrierNorfolk Terriers were originally bred to hunt foxes, badgers and rats.

They are growing more and more popular as pets and that's not surprising. They are the smallest working terrier with a height at the shoulder of 10" and a weight of about 5kgs so this means they are fairly easy to transport around.

Norfolk Terriers have a wire-haired coat which is weatherproof and does not require a huge amount of grooming. Their colouring ranges from shades of red, black and tan, wheaten and grizzle.

It has to be said though, being terriers they can be a bit of a handful and generally need plenty of exercise as they are active little characters. They can be very vocal, they are pretty fearless 'if push comes to shove' but they are not known for being aggressive. Simply put Norfolk Terriers can make affectionate, spirited little companions!
